Russia needs synchrotrons: Vladimir Putin supported the idea of the Global Energy Prize laureate

Yesterday, during a meeting of the Council for Science and Education, which Vladimir Putin hold in Novosibirsk, the Global Energy Prize laureate - 2016, the chairman of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences Valentin Parmon, suggested the creation of a synchrotron radiation center and a large research complex for collective use.

The Global Energy Prize laureate: Russia needs to prepare for the development of the Arctic fields

The UN Commission on the limits of the continental shelf (CLCS) held its regular session yesterday in New York. In the period up to March 16, the experts should make their final decision on Russia's claim to the Lomonosov ridge and Mendeleev rive, which are rich with hydrocarbons. According to forecasts there are about 4.9 billion tons of fuel equivalent, and its extraction will require the development of equipment and technologies.
